What We Accept
Garden Trimmings
Branches, hedge clippings, and pruned material from your garden. Clean and free from plastic ties.
Examples:
Hedge trimmings, rose prunings, tree branches (under 15cm diameter), shrub clippings
Lawn Clippings
Grass cuttings and lawn waste. Should be relatively dry and not mixed with weeds or roots.
Examples:
Mowed grass, lawn edging waste, thatch from lawn care
Tree Waste
Branches and tree material from pruning or removal. Larger pieces welcome but keep under 15cm diameter.
Examples:
Tree branches, small logs, tree trimmings, palm fronds (not Phoenix palms)
Plant Matter
Dead plants, flower heads, and organic garden waste. No diseased plants that might spread.
Examples:
Old vegetable plants, spent flowers, healthy weeds, organic garden waste
How to Prepare Your Green Waste
Follow these steps to make sure your garden waste gets composted properly
Remove All Plastic
Take off plastic ties, plant labels, and any synthetic materials. Even small pieces contaminate compost.
Check Plant Health
No diseased plants or weeds with seeds. These can spread problems through the compost.
Keep It Dry
Wet grass clumps and soggy material don't compost well. Let it dry out a bit first.
Size It Right
Branches should be under 15cm diameter. Bigger pieces slow down processing.

Environmental Impact
