How to Prepare Your Polystyrene
Follow these steps to make sure polystyrene gets recycled properly

Clean Thoroughly
Remove all food, liquids, and debris. Dirty polystyrene can contaminate the recycling process.

Remove Labels & Tape
Take off stickers, labels, and tape where possible. Different materials affect the recycling process.

Keep It Contained
Put polystyrene in bags or boxes. Small pieces break off and can blow around easily.

Separate Types
Keep white polystyrene separate from coloured or expanded foam if possible.
