How to Prepare Your Tetra Paks
Follow these steps to make sure cartons get processed properly

Cut Along Top & Sides
Cut along the top and sides of the carton to prepare it for flattening.

Rinse Out Clean
Give the opened carton a rinse to remove any remaining liquid or residue.

Remove Caps & Lids
Take off plastic caps and lids - job done! These go in regular recycling, not with the Tetra Pak.
Free Collection Point

Partnership with SaveBoard
Your Tetra Paks go directly to SaveBoard in Christchurch, where they’re processed into low-carbon building materials. This specialised recycling keeps complex packaging out of landfill
Tetra Paks are made of paper, plastic, and aluminium layers. SaveBoard separates these materials and creates building products with much lower carbon footprint than traditional materials.
Environmental Impact
Tetra Paks are difficult to recycle in standard systems because they contain multiple materials. Our partnership with SaveBoard ensures these complex packages become valuable building materials instead of waste.
