What We Accept
Car Tyres
Standard passenger car tyres from sedans, hatchbacks, and wagons. Most common household tyre type.
Examples:
4×4 & SUV Tyres
Larger tyres from 4×4 vehicles, SUVs, and light trucks. Bigger than car tyres but still household size.
Examples:
Motorcycle Tyres
Tyres from motorbikes, scooters, and other two-wheeled vehicles. Small but need proper disposal.
Examples:
Tyres with Rims
Tyres still attached to metal or alloy rims. We’ll separate the components for proper processing.
Examples:
Car wheels, alloy wheels, steel rims, complete wheel sets
How to Prepare Your Tyres
Follow these steps to make tyre disposal easier

Check Size Limits
Only car, 4x4, and motorcycle tyres accepted. No truck, tractor, or commercial vehicle tyres.

Remove Weights
Take off wheel weights if you can. Different metals affect processing, though not essential.

Keep Rims On
Don't worry about removing tyres from rims - we'll separate them properly during processing.

Regular tyre disposal from your business? We’ll drop a skip at your place and collect it when you’re done. Same proper processing, but we come to you.

Environmental Impact
In 2020, there were 4.4 million cars in New Zealand – that’s potentially 17.6 million car tyres alone. Tyres don’t break down in landfill and can become breeding grounds for pests. Energy recovery is currently the best option.
